Rare Tori Amos Release Made Available Again

Tori Amos fans got a Labor Day weekend surprise — the first album she ever released is back in print.

Amos fronted a synth-pop band called Y Kant Tori Read that released just one self-titled disc in 1988. It quickly bombed and went out of print. But after Amos reinvented herself for a successful solo career, Y Kant Tori Read became an in-demand item. Used copies of it on CD and vinyl fetch $150 to $200 on the open market.

Now the album has been remastered and released today (Friday) through digital retailers and streaming sites. And this copy costs just $7.99 to download.
