Imagine Dragons Hosting a Benefit For a Friend & His Music Venue

Imagine Dragons are hosting a benefit today at 3:30 p.m. ET on YouTube to help out a friend and his music venue.

Free the Fox will raise money for Corey Fox, who runs Velour in Provo, Utah. Fox helped Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees and other bands get their start, but he’s far behind on his mortgage payments. So Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds has organized this online benefit and helped convince Zions Bank, which owns the mortgage on Velour, to match up to $50,000 raised from the benefit.

Imagine Dragons and Neon Trees will both perform, and the Dragons will also talk about their upcoming album Mercury Act 1 and do a live Q-and-A with fans. This isn’t the first time Imagine Dragons have come to Fox’s aid. In April 2016 they did a benefit to raise money for Fox’s kidney transplant, which happened in December of that year.
