It’s a little hard to describe Stereolab,  They are, sort of, a modernized take on 60’s Yé-Yé music, a type of space-age pop music that came out of France, Italy and Germany and made music stars out of Francoise Hardy, Brigitte Bardot and Gillian Hills.  While not producing a string of radio hits, their sound is instantly recognizable and uniquely theirs.  Stereolab is about to release their first album in 15 years on May 23rd called Instant Holograms.
