Bio: Michigan natives Claire Kander (guitar, bass, synth, harmonica) and Kevin Golden (guitar, bass, strings, keys) make up the duo Scuttlebuggs. Currently living in Chicago, the two vocalists and songwriters craft melodic and dreamy-sounding folk music, while maintaining a lo-fi, delicate, and intimate listening session. The lyrics are a key component to the duo’s identity, with many reviews of their work drawing comparisons of their personal, edgy, and beautiful writings to the work of Nick Cave. Their most recent album, “Kirk’s House” was self-produced and recorded in a home studio following the COVID-19 pandemic.
