Bio: A native of Marquette, Joshua Davis started his career as a member of the Lansing-area roots group, Steppin’ In It. Later on, he formed Shout Sister Shout, a folk-jazz throwback with musician Rachel Davis (no relation). Davis is a multi-instrumentalist who has released three solo studio albums and, like Ann Arbor songwriter Laith Al-Saadi, was a finalist on The Voice. He doesn’t have a big, bombastic sound, but with his voice and lyrics, he doesn’t need it.
