Bio: For over a decade, The Crane Wives have been a staple of the Michigan indie music scene. Formed in 2010 by members Emilee Petersmark (guitar/vocals), Kate Pillsbury (guitar/vocals), Dan Rickabus (drums/vocals), and Ben Zito (bass), with Petersmark and Pillsbury naming the band after the album “The Crane Wife” by The Decemberists. Over the course of their five studio albums, the band has built upon their folk sound, punctuated by their mix of electric and acoustic instruments and three-part harmonies. The latest showcase of their rock-and-roll sound is their newest album “Beyond Beyond Beyond” released in September 2024.
